AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE

SITUATION:

ATTACHMENT BOLT MISSING

Vehicles built within the above VIN range are missing the two M6 fixing screws required when installing Range Rover accessory side-step or side protection tubes. The location of the air suspension reservoir prevents the fasteners from being installed with the reservoir in place.

RESOLUTION:

INSTALL ATTACHMENT FASTENERS WHEN REQUIRED

Installation of Kit Side Steps (VTK500010) or Side Protection Tubes (VUB001230 and VUB002510), require additional operations for vehicles within the affected VIN range.

DDW WARRANTY CLAIMS:

DDW requires the use of causal part numbers. Labor only claims must show the causal part number with a quantity of zero.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

NOTE:
GTR lookup sequence is as follows: GTR Home > NAS > Service Information/LM - New Range Rover/2005 > Workshop Manuals > Service Procedures > "FRONT SUSPENSION/ADJUSTMENTS" > link "Air suspension system - depressurize and re-pressurize"

1. Refer to GTR section 60.50.38 and de-pressurize air suspension system.

NOTE:

2. Refer to GTR section 60.50.03 and remove the air suspension reservoir.





3. Install two M6 screws (EYP500010) to the weld nut locations in the inner sill panel. (Figure 1)

4. Refer to GTR section 60.50.03 and install air suspension reservoir.

5. Refer to GTR section 60.50.38 and pressurize air suspension system.

6. Return to side step installation instructions.
