REVISED REPAIR TIME RESULT OF PROCESS CHANGE

Situation:
Methods engineers at Land Rover have recently studied the service process for removal of the transfer box assembly for Range Rover (LM) models equipped with the "M62" BMW engine. Significant process changes have been made. The changes, detailed below, refine and improve the process which allows the operation to be carried out more efficiently. The principle changes are:

^ Front and rear driveshaft removal - no longer required. Driveshafts now secured aside.

^ Transfer box oil drain and refill - not required when removed for access only.

NOTE:
The relevant Workshop Manual Section, which these updated procedures relate to, will be updated at the next available opportunity.

Action:
Should it become necessary to remove a transfer box assembly on a 2003-2005 model year Range Rover (LM), please refer to the procedure detailed in this bulletin.
