Oil Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair


Engine Oil Pressure (EOP) Sensor

Service Repair No - 12.60.50


Removal
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.

WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.

3. Remove the radiator access panel.
4. Remove the engine oil pressure (EOP) sensor.
^ Disconnect the electrical connector.
^ Position a container to collect the fluid.





Installation
1. Install the EOP sensor.
^ Apply sealant to the sensor thread.
^ Tighten the EOP sensor to 13 Nm (10 ft. lbs.).
^ Connect and secure the electrical connector.
2. Install the radiator access panel.
3. Connect the battery ground cable.
4. Check and top-up the engine oil.
