SECTION: 415

Loss of Satellite Digital Audio Receiving System Presets on Start-up - Repair Procedure

AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:

Range Rover (LM) VIN: 6A194480 - 6A239035
Model Year: 2006

CONDITION SUMMARY:

SATELLITE RADIO PRESETS "GRAYED OUT" ON ENGINE START-UP

Situation:

During engine start-up, the preset buttons for the Satellite Digital Audio Receiving System (SDARS) may be grayed out or the system may default to "Hits 1". The presets may return during the drive cycle or on a new key cycle. This could be due to a voltage drop below 9.0 volts, causing the SDARS module to reset. If the High Level Display Front requests the presets at the time of the SDARS module reset, the module will remain in reset mode.

Action:

Should a customer express the above concern, follow the Repair Procedure outlined in this bulletin below.

PARTS:

No parts necessary.

TOOLS:

IDS DVD 111 Patch File 1 or later and the Midtronics PSC-550 Vehicle Power Supply
