AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:

CONDITION SUMMARY:

Situation:
The engine may be difficult to start or may stall immediately after starting with the engine Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illuminated with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) U0151-31 stored in the Engine Control Module (ECM). This may be caused by software issues within the ECM.

Action:
In the event of a customer concern of the above, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below to update the ECM software.

*IDS with IDS-DVD119_V8.05 or later and Calibration File 21 or later*

Land Rover-approved Midtronics Vehicle Power Supply

RECONFIGURE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE

CAUTION:
Ensure all ignition 'ON' / ignition 'OFF' requests are carried out; failure to perform these steps may cause damage to control modules in the vehicle.

CAUTION:
A Land Rover-approved Midtronics Vehicle Power Supply must be connected to the vehicle battery during diagnosis.
