Servotronic Steering Control Valve Actuator Availability





AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE

CONDITION SUMMARY:

Situation:

A Servotronic Steering Control Valve Actuator is now available as a serviceable part. In the event of one of the following conditions, replacement of the complete steering gear is no longer necessary:

^ Power steering feels heavier than normal through its operating range

^ Power steering feels too light at speed

^ Power steering feels too heavy at rest and low speed

^ Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) C112201, C11231C may be stored

Action:

To install a new Servotronic Steering Control Valve Actuator, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below.

Refer to Workshop Manual (GTR) for any special tools that may be required.

1. Refer to Workshop Manual (GTR) Section 211-02: Power Steering (57.10.05) to remove / install the Servotronic Steering Control Valve Actuator.
