Satellite Digital Audio Receiver Service Loss of Presets / Defaults to 'Hits 1' - Repair Procedure
AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE
CONDITION SUMMARY:
ERRATIC BEHAVIOR OF PRESET DISPLAY
Situation:
Incorrect software can result in a range of symptoms to the Satellite Digital Audio Receiver Service (SDARS) presets.
^ The presets can 'gray out' and will not function. The system will reset on ignition cycle.
^ The SDARS preset buttons will be 'blacked out' on initial start though the SDARS radio will continue to play the channel or preset last selected. Touching each of the buttons can cause the display to return to normal or the situation can be resolved during a new ignition cycle.
^ Having previously set presets to customer preference, on key-on the presets all default to channel 1 or 'HITS 1'.
Action:
Should a customer express concern about the above symptoms, re-configure the SDARS module by following the Repair Procedure in this Bulletin.
