Rear Window Wiper Motor Failure

AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:
Range Rover Sport (LS) VIN: 6A900290 - 7A999999
7A100000 - BA2999999
BA700000 - Onwards
Model Year: 2006 - Onwards

CONDITION SUMMARY:

Situation:

The rear window wiper motor may be inoperative. This may be caused by internal mechanism components becoming worn.

Action:

In the event of a customer concern of the above, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below to replace the rear window wiper motor.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

REPLACE REAR WINDOW WIPER MOTOR

1. Verify B+ power to the rear window wiper motor.

^ Investigate accordingly as a separate claim.

2. Refer to Workshop Manual, section 501-16: Wipers and Washers, and remove the rear window wiper motor.

^ Discard the liftgate glass wiper motor trim panel clips.

NOTE:
The liftgate glass wiper motor trim panel retaining clips must be replaced.





3. Install four (4) new trim panel clips to the liftgate glass wiper motor trim panel. (Figure 1)

4. Refer to Workshop Manual, section 501-16: Wipers and Washers, and install the new rear window wiper motor.
