Excessive Wind / Road Noise from Roof Opening Panel Area - Repair Procedure
AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE
CONDITION SUMMARY:
Situation:
A concern has been identified where there may be excessive wind or road noise from the roof opening panel area. This wind or road noise may be caused by sound traveling up the roof opening panel drain tube and amplifying out through the roof opening panel.
Action:
In the event of a customer concern of the above, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below to remove the front roof opening panel drain hole.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
REMOVE LEFT-HAND ROOF OPENING PANEL DRAIN TUBE ELBOW
1. Fully close roof opening panel.
2. Verify roof opening panel glass is flush with roof opening.
NOTE:
Global Technical Reference (GTR) lookup sequence is as follows:

3. Refer to Workshop Manual (GTR) Section 100-02: Jacking and Lifting to place vehicle on a suitable lift.
4. Partially remove the left-hand front roof opening panel drain tube. (Figure 1)
CAUTION:
Do not pull excessively on the drain tube elbow.
5. Using a steady gradual pull, fully remove the left-hand drain tube elbow. (Figure 1)
6. Install grommet (AYB000060) into the vacant hole. (Figure 2)
REMOVE LEFT-HAND ROOF OPENING PANEL DRAIN TUBE ELBOW
1. Partially remove the air suspension reservoir:
^ Remove the two M6 bolts at the front of the reservoir. (Figure 3)
2. Partially remove the right-hand front roof opening panel drain tube. (Figure 4)
CAUTION:
Do not pull excessively on the drain tube elbow.
3. Using a steady gradual pull, fully remove the right-hand drain tube elbow. (Figure 4)
4. Install grommet (AYB000060) into the vacant hole.
5. Install the air suspension reservoir:
^ Install the two M6 bolts at the front of the reservoir, tightening the bolts to 10 Nm (7.4 lbf ft).
6. Remove vehicle from lift.
7. Raise air suspension to the off-road height.
8. Lower air suspension to normal height.
