Revised Workshop Procedure - Remove / Install Front and Rear Differentials

AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:

Model Year: 2006 - Onwards

CONDITION SUMMARY:

Situation:

A revised workshop procedure has been developed for the removal and installation of the front and rear differentials. For the front differential, it is no longer necessary to remove the front driveshaft completely; releasing the driveshafts by removing the lower arm pivot bolts and swinging the wheel knuckle assembly (including wheels) will allow adequate clearance. For the rear differential, the steps for removing and installing the new driveshaft oil seals are eliminated as the differential is being replaced.

Action:

When removing / installing either a front or rear differential, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below.
