Rear Differential Pinion Oil Seal Availability





AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE

CONDITION SUMMARY:

Situation:

A rear differential pinion oil seal is now available as a service part. It is no longer necessary to replace the complete rear differential for issues related to the pinion oil seal.

NOTE:
The Repair Procedure is valid for one repair only as the new seal is installed further into the differential housing in order for the seal to run off a different section of the pinion flange.

Action:

In the event it becomes necessary to replace the rear differential pinion oil seal, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below.
