Seat Motor / Drive Cable Availability





AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:

CONDITION SUMMARY:

Situation:
Seat motor and drive cables are now available as serviceable parts. It is no longer necessary to replace the complete seat frame in the event a fore / aft motor or either drive cable requires replacement

Action:
In the event of a fore I aft motor or drive cable replacement, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below to install a seat motor or drive cable only.

Repair procedures are under constant review, and therefore times are subject to change; those quoted here must be taken as guidance only. Always refer to DDW to obtain the latest repair time.

DDW requires the use of causal part numbers. Labor only claims must show the causal part number with a quantity of zero.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

NOTE:
when installing a left-hand seat cable, refer to Technical Bulletin LTB00176.

1. Refer to Workshop Manual, section 501-10: Seating > Removal and installation > Front seat Track Motor, and replace the seat motor.
