Removal




Body

The content of this article reflects the changes identified in TSB - TECLTB00278.

Condition Summary:

Situation: The Workshop Manual procedure for removing and refitting the body assembly has been revised. The revised procedure has several steps removed or re-timed, including but not limited to:

^ Bumper renew (front and rear) has been replaced with bumper remove/refit for access.
^ Complete coolant drain has been replaced with bumper remove/refit for access.
^ Shields located under the front wheel arches no longer require removal.

- Remove and discard the 2 O-ring seals.

CAUTION: Before disconnecting or removing the components, make sure the area around the joint faces and connections are clean. Plug open connections to prevent contamination.

CAUTION: If brake fluid is spilt on the paintwork, the affected area must be immediately washed down with cold water.


- Position an absorbent cloth to collect fluid spillage.
- Disconnect the line union.
- Remove the clip.

- Remove the 10 spacing washers.

CAUTION: To prevent the body becoming unstable when raised from the integrated body frame, install the vehicle tie down straps.

Note the fitted position of the body mounts.

Using an assistant raise and support the body.
- Remove the body mounts.
