C-Pillar Side Impact Sensor

Removal

WARNING: It is imperative that before any work is undertaken on the SRS system, the appropriate information is read thoroughly.

WARNING: Always disconnect both battery cables before beginning work on the SRS system. Disconnect the ground cable first. Never reverse connect the battery.

NOTE:
If the SRS component is to be replaced, the bar code of the new unit must be recorded.
1 Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Specifications
2 Make the SRS system safe. For additional information, refer to Standard Workshop Practices Standard Workshop Practices
3 Remove the rear quarter trim panel. For additional information, refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Rear Quarter Trim Panel




4 Remove the C-pillar side impact sensor.
- Remove the 2 Torx bolts.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.

Installation
1 Install the C-pillar side impact sensor.
- Tighten the Torx bolts to 8 Nm (6 lb.ft).
- Connect the electrical connector.
2 Install the rear quarter trim panel. For additional information, refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Rear Quarter Trim Panel
3 Connect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Specifications
