Cooling System Partial Draining, Filling and Bleeding

CAUTION: The engine cooling system must be maintained with the correct concentration and type of anti-freeze solution to prevent corrosion and frost damage. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the engine.

CAUTION: Engine coolant will damage the paint finished surfaces. If spilt, immediately remove the coolant and clean the area with water.

CAUTION: The engine cooling system must be maintained with the correct concentration and type of anti-freeze solution to prevent corrosion and frost damage. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the engine.

WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.
1 Raise and support the vehicle.
2 Position a container to collect the fluid.

1 Lower the vehicle.
2 Connect exhaust extraction hoses to the tail pipes.
3 Fill the cooling system to the upper level mark of the expansion tank.
4 Install the coolant expansion tank cap.

CAUTION: Make sure the coolant level remains above the "MIN" level mark.
5 Hold the engine speed at 2000 rpm until warm air is expelled from the heater.
6 Switch the engine off and allow to cool.

WARNING: Since injury such as scalding could be caused by escaping steam or coolant, do not remove the filler cap from the coolant expansion tank while the system is hot.
7 Check and top-up the coolant if required.
8 Visually check the engine and cooling system for signs of coolant leakage.
