This is a "Trustmark Authoring Standards (TAS) Repair Procedure"
- TAS style procedures can be identified by steps that have no accompanying step text and the magenta color of the electrical connectors and fasteners such as nuts, bolts, clamps or clips.
- TAS removal and installation procedures use a sequence of color illustrations to indicate the order to be followed when removing/disassembling or installing/assembling a component.
- Many of the TAS procedures will have the installation information within the removal steps.
- The TAS color illustrations use a variety of symbols to indicate important details of the procedures. It is important to understand these symbols in order to properly used the TAS procedures.

Removal

1 Disconnect the battery ground cable.

Clamp: 3.5 Nm
Bolt: 8 Nm
M6: 10 Nm
M10: 45 Nm
CAUTION: Loosen the lower retaining bolt no more than 5 turns (do not remove the retaining bolt). This will aid installation of the catalytic converter.
Torque to: 24 Nm
NOTE:
Secure with cable ties.
Torque to: 24 Nm
Torque to: 24 Nm
CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping coolant.
CAUTION: Make sure that new sealing washers are installed.

WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fluids.
Torque to: 25 Nm
Torque to: 25 Nm

CAUTION: Make sure that the gasket is correctly located.
CAUTION: Make sure that a new component is installed.
CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping fluids.
NOTE:
Install new gaskets.
Torque to: 10 Nm
Installation
CAUTION: Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown.
1 To install, reverse the removal procedure.
