Introduction

Some 2004 and 2005 model year LX 470 vehicles may have a gap between the sunroof wind deflector gasket and the roof panel. Please use the following repair procedure to correct this fit-up issue.

Repair Procedure

The sunroof wind deflector, P/N PT415-60030, should be installed according to the instructions included with the part. If necessary, a copy of the current installation instructions can be found on the Technical Information System (TIS) under Accessories, Installation Instructions. If a proper fit cannot be obtained (i.e., there is a gap between sunroof wind deflector gasket and roof panel), replace screws and brackets with those in the hardware kit, P/N PT415-60040-HK.

Sunroof wind deflector P/N PT415-60030 will be superseded by P/N PT415-60040 once P/N PT415-60030 inventory has been depleted.

This repair is covered under the Lexus Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.
