DTC P0717 TURBINE SPEED SENSOR CIRCUIT NO SIGNAL

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION

DTC Detection Condition:

This sensor detects the rotation speed of the input turbine. By comparing the input turbine speed signal (NT) with the counter gear speed sensor signal (NC), the ECM detects the shift timing of the gears and appropriately controls the engine torque and hydraulic pressure according to various conditions. Thus, providing smooth gear shift.

MONITOR DESCRIPTION

Monitor Strategy:

Typical Enabling Condition:

Typical Malfunction Thresholds:

Component Operating Range:

The NT terminal of the ECM detects the input turbine speed sensor's revolving signal (input RPM). The ECM outputs a gearshift signal comparing the input turbine speed sensor (NT) with the counter gear speed sensor (NC).

When the ECM detects this code abnormally, the ECM performs the fail-safe and outputs a gearshift signal based on the signal from the counter gear speed sensor (NC).

While the vehicle is operating in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th gear position in the shift position of D, if the input shaft revolution is less than 300 rpm although the output shaft revolution is more than 1,000 rpm, the ECM detects the trouble.
