TSB REVISION NOTICE:
- August 25, 2005: 2006 model year has been added to Applicable Vehicles.
The previous TSB should be discarded.
INTRODUCTION:
As a result of the removal of the Short Pin, the "one-touch tilt up and down, " one-touch slide open and close," and " jam protection" functions of the moon roof will be inoperative due to loss of the moon roof position memory stored in the microcomputer.
Therefore, please initialize moonroof after installing the Short Pin in its original location during Pre-Delivery Service (PDS) at the dealership.
NOTE:
Any time the battery terminal has been disconnected, initialize the moonroof after reconnecting the battery terminal.
APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
- 2005 model year RX 330 vehicles.
WARRANTY INFORMATION:
INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE: SINGLE-PANEL MOONROOF:
1. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
2. Push and hold the moon roof switch to the "TILT UP" side or the "SLIDE-CLOSE" side until the following cycle of the moon roof operation is completed:
A. Closing
B. Fully tilt up
C. Fully tilt down
D. Fully slide open
E. Fully slide close
After the cycle of operation above is completed, the initialization is completed.
3. Check for proper operation of the "one-touch slide open and close" and "one-touch tilt up and down" functions by pushing the switch briefly to the "SLIDE OPEN" and "TILT UP" positions.
NOTE:
Jam protection function is enabled through the above initialization procedure.
INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE: MULTI-PANEL MOONROOF:
1. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
2. Push the moon roof switch to the "TILT-CLOSE" side or "SLIDE- CLOSE" side until the moon roof closes, and hold it for approximately one second.
3. Check the "one-touch slide open and close" and "one-touch tilt up and down" functions by pushing the switch briefly to the "SLIDE-OPEN" and "TILT-UP" sides.
NOTE:
Jam protection function is enabled through the above initialization procedure.
