Oil Pressure Sender: Testing and Inspection

ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. INSPECT ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH
a. Disconnect the connector from the engine oil pressure switch.
b. Ground the terminal of wire harness side, then measure the resistance.

Standard Resistance:
Engine idling: Below 1 Ohm
Engine stopped: 10 kOhms or higher

HINT: If the value is not as specified, replace the engine oil pressure switch.
