Previous versions of this TSB should be discarded.
INTRODUCTION:
Some vehicles in colder regions may exhibit a condition where the AFS (Adaptive Front Lighting System) indicator will initially flash when the vehicle is started. Inspect the left headlight assembly and secure the sub-harness as outlined below.
APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
- 2006 model year RX330 vehicles with Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS) produced BETWEEN the VINs shown below.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Remove the left headlamp assembly. For removal procedure, refer to ETAS, 2006 model year RX 330 Repair Manual: Lighting: Headlamp Assy.
2. Inspect the sub-harness to verify the wire is secured in the clip.
3. Secure the sub-harness into place as necessary. If the harness is already clipped into place, diagnose per the Repair Manual.
4. Reassemble the headlamp assembly.
5. Verify that the AFS warning light does NOT stay illuminated with the ignition ON and the codes stay cleared.
