A/T - Shift Lever is Loose

Introduction
Some 2007 model year RX 350 vehicles may exhibit a condition where the shift lever is loose. The shift lever assembly has been improved to address this condition. Please use the repair procedure below to correct customer concern vehicles.

Applicable Warranty*:
This repair is covered under the Lexus Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.
* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.
Repair Procedure
1. Inspect the shift lever shaft nut on the passenger side of the shift lever assembly.
Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), 2007 model year RX 350 Repair Manual, Drivetrain - Automatic Transmission/Transaxle - "U151 # Automatic Transaxle: Shift Lever: Removal".
2. If the nut is loose or missing, remove and replace the Shift Lock Control Unit Assembly.
