REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Using Techstream, clear the stored DTCs.
2. Using Techstream, perform the EVAP System Check to confirm P0441, P0455, or P0456 are pending and a leak is present.
Refer to the Repair Manual within E-TAS / TIS library:
- Model: RX 350
- Year: 2007/2008
- Service Category: Engine/Hybrid System
- Section: Engine Control
- Keyword: 2GR-FE Engine Control System: SFI System: Data List / Active Test

3. If P0441, P0455, or P0456 are present, disconnect the fuel tank vent hose (between the fuel tank and canister) from the charcoal canister. Refer to the Repair Manual within E-TAS / TIS library:
- Model: RX 350
- Year: 2007/2008
- Service Category: Engine/Hybrid System
- Section: Engine Control
- Keyword: 2GR-FE Emission Control: Canister: Removal

4. Using Techstream, clear the stored DTCs.

5. Seal off the fuel tank vent hose and purge VSV connections at the canister to isolate the canister side of the system and rerun the Automatic EVAP System Check.

NOTE
If DTC P0441, P0455, or P0456 are present, the leak is located on the canister side of the system and this TSB does NOT apply. Refer to the Repair Manual for more diagnostic information.

6. If DTC P0441, P0455, or P0456 do NOT return, the leak is on the fuel tank side of the system. Inspect the fuel filler neck and fuel cap threads. If any irregularities are noted, replace the fuel filler pipe and fuel cap.
7. After the repair is complete, perform the Automatic EVAP System Check again to confirm there are NO pending DTCs and that the system is normal.

NOTE:
Issue of this Technical Service Bulletin is to ensure that proper repair information is available. IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE AN AUTHORIZATION FOR REPAIR. Normal provisions of the formal warranty policy, as applicable, will apply.
