INTRODUCTION:
As a result of the removal of the Short Pin, the "one-touch open and close" and "jam protection" functions of the driver's door power window will be inoperative due to loss of the Driver's door power window position memory stored in the microcomputer.
Initialize the each door's Power Window after installing the Short Pin in its original location during Pre-Delivery Service (PDS) at the dealership.
NOTE:
Any time the battery terminal has been disconnected, initialize each door's Power Window after reconnecting the battery terminal.
APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
- 2007 model year RX 350 vehicles.
WARRANTY INFORMATION:
INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE:
1. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
At this time, the Driver's door power window switch should be blinking.
NOTE:
When the battery terminal has been disconnected, each door's power window switch blinks.
2. Push the Driver's door power window switch to lower the window halfway.
NOTE:
When the battery terminal has been disconnected, push each door's power window switch to open the windows.
3. Pull up the Driver's door power window switch until the window closes, and hold it for more than one second.
At this time, the Driver's door power window switch illumination changes from blinking to constant illumination.
NOTE:
When the battery terminal has been disconnected, pull up each door's power window switch until the window closes, and hold it for more than one second.
At this time, each door's power window switch illumination changes from blinking to constant illumination.
4. Check for proper operation of the "one-touch open and close" function by fully pushing the switch "DOWN" once and fully pulling the switch "UP" once.
NOTE:
Jam protection function is enabled through the above initialization procedure.
5. Check that each door's power window switch illumination is constant.
