Introduction
Some customers may experience distortion on the receiving end of the call when using the "Handsfree" function. An improved microphone has been developed to correct this condition. Use the following repair procedure to remove and replace the microphone.

This repair is covered under the Lexus Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.
* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.
Repair Procedure
1. Record radio presets.
2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
3. Remove the map light assembly.
Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), 2007 model year RX 350 or RX 400h Repair Manual, Vehicle Interior - Interior Panels/Trim - "Interior: Roof Headlining: Removal".
4. Remove the microphone amplifier.
A. Disconnect the connector.
B. Remove the screw and microphone bracket.
C. Remove the microphone amplifier.
5. Install the NEW microphone amplifier.
A. Install the microphone amplifier.
B. Install the microphone bracket with the screw.
C. Connect the connector.
6. Install the map light assembly.
Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), 2007 model year RX 350 or RX 400h Repair Manual, Vehicle Interior - Interior Panels/Trim - "Interior: Roof Headlining: Removal".
7. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
8. Re-initialize any affected power systems.
Refer to TSIB No. PD007-07, "Power System Initialization During PDS".
9. Set radio presets.
