Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview
AUDIO / VIDEO: REAR SEAT ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM: HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING
HINT:
Use these procedures to troubleshoot the rear seat entertainment system.
1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE
Standard voltage:
11 to 14 V
If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
3. BASIC INSPECTION
(a) Turn the engine switch on (ACC).
(b) Check whether or not the display appears on the multi-display or display and navigation module display.
Result

A -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.
(b) Clear the DTCs.
(c) Recheck for DTCs. Based on the DTC output in the first step, try to force output of the audio system DTC by simulating the conditions indicated by the DTC.
HINT:
- If the system cannot enter the diagnosis mode, inspect each AVC-LAN communication signal and repair or replace problem parts.
- Even if the malfunction symptom is not confirmed, check for DTCs, as the system stores past DTCs.
- Refer to the detailed description on the diagnostic screen as necessary Description and Operation.
- Check and clear past diagnostic trouble codes. Check the diagnostic trouble code and inspect the area the code indicates.

(a) Terminals of ECU Pinout Values and Diagnostic Parameters.
(b) Inspect the front No. 1 speaker Front Door Speaker.
(c) Inspect the front No. 2 speaker Instrument Panel Speaker.
(d) Inspect the front No. 3 speaker Pillar Speaker (for Front Side).
(e) Inspect the front No. 4 speaker Instrument Panel Speaker.
(f) Inspect the No. 1 woofer box speaker Luggage Speaker.
(g) Inspect the rear speaker set Rear Door Speaker.
(h) Inspect the rear No. 2 speaker Rear Door Speaker.
(i) Inspect the rear No. 3 speaker Rear Door Speaker.
(j) Inspect the rear header speaker Back Door Speaker.
