DTC C2177/77 - Initialization not Completed
DESCRIPTION
Initialization is necessary if one of the following occurs:
- The tire pressure warning ECU is replaced.
- Any tire pressure warning valve and transmitter is replaced.
- When tire pressure is changed following an instruction to increase pressure in accordance with vehicle speed.
- A new vehicle is delivered.
*1: For vehicles manufactured after August of 2007, it is 20 minutes.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
- If the registered set of the tires and wheels does not correspond to the selection of the tire pressure warning select switch (MAIN/2nd), DTC C2172/72 will be output.
- When replacing the tire pressure warning ECU, read the IDs stored in the ECU using the intelligent tester and write them down before removal.
- It is necessary to perform initialization after registration of the transmitter IDs into the tire pressure warning ECU after the ECU or valve and transmitter has been replaced.
HINT: Set the tire pressure to the specified value.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK DTC
(a) Check for a DTC .
Result:
HINT: When the tire pressure warning antenna and receiver receives no signal for several minutes after the initialization procedure finished, a DTC is output.
