Headlamp Washer Motor Relay: Testing and Inspection

WIPER AND WASHER: HEADLIGHT CLEANER CONTROL RELAY:

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. INSPECT HEADLIGHT CLEANER CONTROL RELAY
(a) Inspect headlight cleaner control relay operation.





(1) Check that no continuity exists between the terminal H1-2 (PB) and the terminal H1-5 (E).
(2) Connect the positive (+) lead of the battery to the terminal H1-1 (IG), and the negative (-) lead of the battery to the terminal H1-5 (E).
(3) Connect the negative (-) lead of the battery to the terminal H1-3 (HDLO) and the terminal H1-4 (H), and check that continuity exists between the terminal H1-2 (PB) and the terminal H1-5 (E) for 0.8 to 0.9 seconds, then no continuity exists.
(4) Disconnect the positive (+) lead of the battery from the terminal H1-1 (IG), and connect the positive (+) lead of the battery to the terminal H1-1 (IG) again.





(5) Connect the negative (-) lead of the battery to the terminal H1-3 (HDLO) and the terminal H1-6 (FRWA), and check that continuity exists between the terminal H1-2 (PB) and the terminal H1-5 (E) for 0.8 to 0.9 seconds, then no continuity exists.
