DESCRIPTION
The door courtesy light switch turns on when the door is opened and turns off when the door is closed.
The signal is sent from the body ECU and the back door ECU into the DOOR terminal of the suspension control ECU when all the doors are open.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH
(a) Check that the open door warning light comes on when any door or back door is opened and goes off when all the doors are closed.
OK:
Courtesy light operates normally.
NG -- CHECK OPEN DOOR WARNING LIGHT
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SUSPENSION CONTROL ECU - BODY ECU)
(a) Check for open and short circuit in the harness and the connector between the suspension control ECU and the body ECU Electronic Circuit Inspection Procedure.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT BODY ECU (ACTY OUTPUT)
(a) Remove the body ECU with connectors still connected.
(b) Measure the voltage between terminal B4-20 (ACTY) of the body ECU and body ground when door is opened and closed.
Standard voltage:
NG -- REPLACE BODY ECU
OK -- REPLACE SUSPENSION CONTROL ECU
