Audio and Visual System (w/ Navigation System)





AUDIO / VIDEO: AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM (w/ Navigation System): HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

HINT
* Use the following procedure to troubleshoot the audio and visual system.
* *: Use the Techstream.
1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE

Standard Voltage:

11 to 14 V

* If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding to the next step.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. BASIC INSPECTION

(a) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(b) Check whether or not the radio receiver assembly turns on.





B -- Go to step 8
A -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK FOR DTC*

(a) Refer to DTC Check/Clear of the navigation system.

Refer to Navigation System Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.





HINT
After the check using the Techstream, check the "System Check Mode" screen as necessary.

B -- Go to step 8
A -- Continue to next step.

5. DTC CLEAR*

(a) Refer to DTC Check/Clear of the navigation system.

Refer to Navigation System Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

HINT
The current DTC's may not indicate actual malfunctions depending on the vehicle operating conditions.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

6. RECHECK FOR DTC*

(a) Refer to DTC Check/Clear of the navigation system.

Refer to Navigation System Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.





HINT
* Even if the malfunction symptom is not confirmed, check for diagnostic trouble codes. This is because the system stores past diagnostic trouble codes.
* After the check using the Techstream, check the "System Check Mode" screen as necessary.
* Check the diagnostic trouble code and inspect the area code indicates.

7. DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART

(a) Find the output code in Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart Audio and Visual System (w/ Navigation System).

NOTICE:
* The navigation system outputs DTC's for the following systems.
* When DTC's other than the codes in Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart for the audio and visual system are output, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart for the following systems.
* Refer to Navigation System Navigation System.
* Refer to Rear Seat Entertainment System (w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System) Rear Seat Entertainment System.
* Refer to Wide View Front Monitor System (w/ Wide View Front Monitor System) Wide View Front Monitor System.
* Refer to Side Monitor System (w/ Side Monitor System) Side Monitor System.

8. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE

If the symptom does not recur and no DTC is output, perform the symptom reproduction method Problem Symptoms Table.

9. CHECK ECU TERMINAL ARRANGEMENT BASED ON MALFUNCTION SYMPTOM

(a) Refer to Terminals of ECU Audio and Visual System (w/ Navigation System).

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

10. CHECK CIRCUIT

(a) Adjust, repair or replace as necessary.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

11. RECHECK FOR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE

After clearing DTC's, recheck for DTC's.
