SUSPENSION CONTROL: ACTIVE STABILIZER SUSPENSION SYSTEM: C1905: Timeout Initialization Check of Rear Actuator
C1905 - Timeout Initialization Check of Rear Actuator
DESCRIPTION
Immediately after turning the power switch on (READY), the rear active stabilizer control ECU checks the condition of the active stabilizer suspension system. If there is a malfunction during the check, the initial check does not complete, resulting in the output of DTC C1905. Also, the initial check can determine if the rear active stabilizer control ECU is in the front or rear of the vehicle, and if the front active stabilizer control ECU is in the front or rear of the vehicle. This DTC is output by a normally recognized rear active stabilizer control ECU when a malfunction in the front side occurs.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION
(a) Turn the power switch off.
(b) Check that the wire harness connectors between the front active stabilizer control ECU and front active stabilizer control actuator assembly are not loose or disconnected and that the wire harness is not damaged.
OK:
Connectors are not loose or disconnected. Wire harness is not damaged.
HINT
If the wire harness of the front active stabilizer control actuator assembly is damaged, replace the front active stabilizer control actuator assembly Removal.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK DTC (C1959, C193C)
(a) Turn the power switch off.
(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Turn the power switch on (READY) and the Techstream on.
(d) Check that front active stabilizer side DTCs (C1959 and/or C193C) are not output Active Stabilizer Suspension System.
OK:
DTCs C1959 and/or C193C are not output.
NG -- GO TO DTC CHART
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK DTC (POWER STEERING SYSTEM)
(a) Turn the power switch off.
(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Turn the power switch on (READY) and the Techstream on.
(d) Check that power steering system DTCs are not output Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
OK:
DTC is not output.
NG -- GO TO POWER STEERING SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART) Power Steering System
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. INTERCHANGE FRONT AND REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU
(a) Turn the power switch off.
(b) Interchange the front active stabilizer control ECU with the rear active stabilizer control ECU, and install them securely Removal.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
5. CLEAR DTC
(a) Turn the power switch off.
(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Turn the power switch on (IG) and the Techstream on.
(d) Clear the DTC Active Stabilizer Suspension System.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
6. CHECK OPERATION OF FRONT ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU
(a) Turn the power switch off.
(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Turn the power switch on (READY) and wait 30 seconds or more. Then check for front active stabilizer DTCs Active Stabilizer Suspension System.
OK:
DTC C192D is not output.
HINT
Interchange the front and rear active stabilizer control ECUs and check for DTCs. After interchanging the ECUs, if a front active stabilizer DTC is stored, it can be determined that the front active stabilizer control ECU is malfunctioning.
NG -- REPLACE ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- REPLACE POWER STEERING CONVERTER ASSEMBLY Removal
