B15B8 - Harddisk Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the hard disk drive which is built into the display and navigation module display has an initialization malfunction or read/write errors occur more than a specified number of times.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK HDD STATUS

(a) Enter the "Failure Diagnosis" Operation Check.





(b) Press "HDD Check".

(1) Check the HDD status.

OK:

The result displayed is "OK".

NG -- REPLACE HARD DISK DRIVE Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) Check for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

The HDD may be damaged even though DTC B15B8 is not output.
