INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT
After the inspection is completed, clear the DTCs.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Disconnect the H7 and H11 stereo component amplifier assembly connectors.

(b) Clear the DTC.

(c) Check if DTC B15C3 is output.

OK:

No DTC is output.

NG -- REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Reconnect the H11 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

(b) Check if DTC B15C3 is output.

OK:

No DTC is output.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - SPEAKERS)
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - SPEAKER)

*1: for RH

*2: for LH

*3: w/ Manual (SOS) Switch

*4: w/o Manual (SOS) Switch

(a) Disconnect the H7 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

(b) Disconnect the H20*1 and/or H21*2 front No. 3 speaker assembly connector.

(c) Disconnect the H13 front No. 4 speaker assembly connector.

(d) Disconnect the G56*3 telematics transceiver connector.

(e) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





Result





C -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

B -- INSPECT FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH
A -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER - SPEAKER)

(a) Disconnect the G56 telematics transceiver connector.

(b) Disconnect the H20 front No. 3 speaker assembly RH connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. INSPECT TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER

(a) Remove the telematics transceiver Removal.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPLACE TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

6. INSPECT FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Disconnect the H20 front No. 3 speaker assembly RH connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPLACE FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

7. INSPECT FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Disconnect the H9 front No. 1 speaker assembly RH connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPLACE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER RH - FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER RH)

(a) Disconnect the H20 front No. 3 speaker assembly RH connector.

(b) Disconnect the H9 front No. 1 speaker assembly RH connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

9. REPLACE FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Temporarily replace the front No. 3 speaker assembly with a new or normally functioning one Removal.

OK:

Malfunction disappears.

NG -- INSPECT FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH

OK -- END (FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH IS DEFECTIVE)

10. INSPECT FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Disconnect the H21 front No. 3 speaker assembly LH connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPLACE FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

11. INSPECT FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Disconnect the H12 front No. 1 speaker assembly LH connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPLACE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

12. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER LH - FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER LH)

(a) Disconnect the H21 front No. 3 speaker assembly LH connector.

(b) Disconnect the H12 front No. 1 speaker assembly LH connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

13. REPLACE FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Temporarily replace the front No. 3 speaker assembly LH with a new or normally functioning one Removal.

OK:

Malfunction disappears.

NG -- INSPECT FRONT NO. 4 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

OK -- END (FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH IS DEFECTIVE)

14. INSPECT FRONT NO. 4 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the H13 front No. 4 speaker assembly connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPLACE FRONT NO. 4 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY Removal

OK -- REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY Removal

15. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - SPEAKERS)

*1: for RH

*2: for LH

(a) Disconnect the H11 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

(b) Disconnect the J3*1 and/or K2*2 front No. 2 speaker assembly connector.

(c) Disconnect the L1*1 and/or M1*2 rear speaker assembly connector.

(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

16. INSPECT FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Disconnect the J3 front No. 2 speaker assembly RH connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPLACE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

17. INSPECT FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Disconnect the K2 front No. 2 speaker assembly LH connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPLACE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

18. INSPECT REAR SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Disconnect the L1 rear speaker assembly RH connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPLACE REAR SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

19. INSPECT REAR SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Disconnect the M1 rear speaker assembly LH connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPLACE REAR SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH Removal

OK -- REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY Removal
