DESCRIPTION

The display and navigation module display and the multi-display controller sub-assembly are connected by the MOST communication line.

When a MOST communication error occurs between the display and navigation module display and the multi-display controller sub-assembly, these DTCs are stored.





HINT
* *: Even if no fault is present, this DTC may be stored depending on the battery condition or engine start voltage.
* For the MOST network, the display and navigation module display is the master unit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)

(a) Check for optional components.

(1) Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.

HINT
* Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect MOST communication.
* This DTC may be stored when a MOST communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

B -- CHECK FOR DTC
A -- Continue to next step.

2. REMOVE OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)

(a) Remove the optional components (including associated wiring).

NOTICE:
Do not remove the optional components or associated wiring without the permission of the customer.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) Check for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

OK:

No DTCs are output.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER POWER SOURCE)

OK -- END

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER POWER SOURCE)

(a) Disconnect the H16 multi-display controller sub-assembly connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER - RADIO RECEIVER)

(a) Disconnect the H16 multi-display controller sub-assembly connector.

(b) Disconnect the H1 radio receiver assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER - DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY)

(a) Disconnect the H16 multi-display controller sub-assembly connector.

(b) Disconnect the H2 display and navigation module display connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

7. REPLACE MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Replace the multi-display controller sub-assembly Removal.

(b) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(c) Check for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

OK:

No DTCs are output.

NG -- REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY Removal

OK -- END
