B2064 - Vehicle Type Signal Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The seat belt control ECU is connected to the main body ECU through CAN communication.

The seat belt control ECU receives the steering wheel position information from the main body ECU via CAN communication and stores the vehicle model information. If the seat belt control ECU cannot receive the steering wheel position information from the main body ECU, DTC B2064 is stored.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

(a) Select "Bus Check" from the "System Select" screen on the Techstream.

(b) Select "Communication Malfunction DTC" from the "Bus Check" screen, and then select "Enter".

OK:

CAN communication system DTCs are not output.

NG -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM Diagnosis System
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Pre-Collision System.

(b) Check for DTCs Pre-Collision System.

OK:

DTC B2064 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU

OK -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

3. REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU

(a) Replace the seat belt control ECU Removal.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Pre-Collision System.

(b) Check for DTCs Pre-Collision System.

OK:

DTC B2064 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) Removal

OK -- END (SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU IS DEFECTIVE)
