C1A0A - Front Radar Sensor Region Code Mismatch

DESCRIPTION

The driving support ECU uses the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly, lane recognition camera sensor assembly*1 and driver monitor camera*2 to detect obstacles in front of the vehicle and the direction that the driver head is facing. Based on this information, the driving support ECU sends pre-collision control operation signals.

When the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is replaced with a new one, it acquires the country specification information from the driving support ECU. Also, when the driving support ECU is replaced with a new one, it receives country specification information from the main body ECU. When country specification information in the sensor and driving support ECU do not match, DTC C1A0A is output.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Change the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly to aiming adjustment mode Installation.

HINT
Aiming adjustment does not need to be performed. When the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is changed to aiming adjustment mode, specification information is acquired from the driving support ECU.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Pre-Collision System.

(b) Check for DTCs Pre-Collision System.

OK:

DTC C1A0A is not output.

NG -- REPLACE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY

OK -- END

3. REPLACE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Replace the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly Removal.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

4. ADJUST MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Adjust the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly Adjustments.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Pre-Collision System.

(b) Check for DTCs Pre-Collision System.

OK:

DTC C1A0A is not output.

NG -- REPLACE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU Removal

OK -- END (MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY IS DEFECTIVE)
