DESCRIPTION

The driving support ECU uses the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly, lane recognition camera sensor assembly* and driver monitor camera to detect obstacles in front of the vehicle and the direction that the driver head is facing. Based on this information, the driving support ECU sends pre-collision control operation signals.

When the driving support ECU receives information that there is a malfunction in the driver monitor camera, DTC C1A31 is stored.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DRIVER MONITOR ECU - DRIVER MONITOR CAMERA)

(a) Disconnect the G62 ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the G63 camera connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK DRIVER MONITOR ECU

(a) Remove the driver monitor ECU with its connector still connected Removal.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPLACE DRIVER MONITOR ECU Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. REPLACE DRIVER MONITOR CAMERA

(a) Replace the driver monitor camera Removal.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Pre-Collision System.

(b) Check for DTCs Pre-Collision System.

OK:

DTC C1A31 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU Removal

OK -- END (DRIVER MONITOR CAMERA IS DEFECTIVE)
