DESCRIPTION
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
HINT
After the inspection is completed, clear the DTCs.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK USB DEVICE OR "iPod"
(a) Disconnect the USB device or "iPod" from the stereo jack adapter.
(b) Check if playable files are present on the USB device or "iPod".
HINT
Refer to System Description for playable files Audio and Visual System (w/o Multi-Display).
Result
B -- REPLACE USB DEVICE OR "iPod"
A -- END
2. REPLACE USB DEVICE OR "iPod"
(a) Turn the engine switch off.
HINT
When one of these DTCs has been stored, it is necessary to turn off the engine switch to make it possible for the vehicle to recognize a new device when it is connected.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (ACC).
(c) Connect a known good USB device or "iPod" to the stereo jack adapter.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Audio and Visual System (w/o Multi-Display).
(b) Check for DTCs and check if the same DTC occurs again.
HINT
If DTCs are output frequently, replace the multi-media interface ECU.
OK:
Malfunction disappears.
NG -- REPLACE MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU Removal
OK -- END (USB DEVICE OR "iPod" WAS DEFECTIVE)
