APPLICABILITY:

INTRODUCTION:
Some 2011 RX350 or RX450h vehicles equipped with the Auto Rain Sensing Wipers may exhibit a condition where the wipers sweep when there is no rain while in the "AUTO" mode. Use the following procedure to replace the rain sensor to address this condition.

This TSB applies to vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Confirm the vehicle exhibits the condition as described in the introduction.
2. Verify whether the vehicle has a Lexus original equipment windshield or an aftermarket installation.

NOTE
- This TSB does not apply to Non Lexus original windshields.
- If the vehicle windshield is not Lexus original equipment, the rain sensor may NOT operate properly due to variations in the glass, tinting, etc.

3. Replace the rain sensor. Refer to ETAS/TIS library, applicable model year RX350/RX450h Repair Manual.

4. Confirm proper wiper operation.
