DESCRIPTION
An AWD Lock Switch (4 Wheel Drive Control Switch) has been provided.
This enables the driver to select between the AUTO and LOCK modes by operating the switch.
The system optimally controls the torque distribution to the front and rear wheels in the respective modes.

PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT 4 WHEEL DRIVE CONTROL SWITCH
(a) Disconnect the connector of 4 wheel drive control switch Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPLACE 4 WHEEL DRIVE CONTROL SWITCH Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (4WD ECU - BODY GROUND)
(a) Connect the connector of 4 wheel drive control switch.
(b) Disconnect the ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
