DESCRIPTION

When the shift lever is in the S position, different ranges can be chosen using the floor shift sequential gate.

Refer to the wiring diagram for DTC P0AE6-225 P0AE6.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (SPORTS MODES)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Sports Mode.

(d) Read the Date List.

Result:





NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (SPORT UP SHIFT SENS STATE / SPORT DWN SHIFT SENS STATE)

(a) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Sport Up Shift Sens State/Sport Dwn Shift Sens State.

(b) Read the Date List.

Result:





NG -- CHECK SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY (TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH)
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS

(a) Check for intermittent problems.

(1) Move the shift lever to S and jiggle the harness and connector.

(2) With the shift lever held toward "+" and then "-", jiggle the harness and connector.

4. CHECK SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY (TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH)

(a) Disconnect connector F30 from the transmission control switch.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

(c) Connect the transmission control switch connector.

OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH - POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU)

(a) Disconnect connector F98 from the power management control ECU.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

(c) Connect the power management control ECU connector.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU Components

6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)

(a) Disconnect connector F30 from the transmission control switch.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard Voltage:

(d) Turn the power switch off.

(e) Connect the transmission control switch connector.

NG -- CHECK POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT
OK -- Continue to next step.

7. CHECK SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY (TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH)

(a) Disconnect connector F30 from the transmission control switch.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard Resistance:

(c) Connect the transmission control switch connector.

NG -- REPLACE SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY Components
OK -- Continue to next step.

8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH - POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU)

(a) Remove the IGCT No. 3 fuse from the engine room relay block No. 2.

(b) Remove the AM2 fuse from the engine room junction block assembly.

(c) Remove the ECU IG2 fuse from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

(d) Disconnect all the connectors from the power management control ECU.

(e) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(f) Disconnect connector F30 from the transmission control switch.

(g) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(h) Connect the transmission control switch connector.

(i) Connect the power management control ECU connectors.

(j) Install the ECU IG2 fuse to the instrument panel junction block assembly.

(k) Install the AM2 fuse to the engine room junction block assembly.

(l) Install the IGCT No. 3 fuse to the engine room relay block No. 2.
