BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: BRAKE CONTROL POWER SUPPLY: REMOVAL
NOTICE:
While the battery is connected, even if the power switch is off, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or any door courtesy switch is turned on. Therefore, when servicing the brake system components, do not depress the brake pedal or open/close the doors while the battery is connected.
1. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System for HDD)
NOTICE:
After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX Removal
3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
4. REMOVE DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
5. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER ASSEMBLY (for Compact Spare Tire) Removal
6. REMOVE NO. 4 REAR FLOOR BOARD (for Compact Spare Tire) Removal
7. REMOVE NO. 4 REAR FLOOR BOARD (for Full Size Spare Tire) Removal
8. REMOVE NO. 3 REAR FLOOR BOARD (for Compact Spare Tire) Removal
9. REMOVE NO. 3 REAR FLOOR BOARD (for Full Size Spare Tire) Removal
10. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY Removal
11. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM BOX LH (for Compact Spare Tire) Removal
12. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM BOX LH (for Full Size Spare Tire) Removal
13. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM BOX RH (for Compact Spare Tire) Removal
14. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM BOX RH (for Full Size Spare Tire) Removal
15. REMOVE FRONT DECK FLOOR BOX Removal
16. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE Removal
17. REMOVE BRAKE CONTROL POWER SUPPLY WITH BRACKET
(a) Remove the 2 clamps.
(b) Remove the 3 nuts and the brake control power supply with bracket.
CAUTION:
Immediately after removing the brake control power supply from the vehicle, there may be an electrical charge left in the internal capacitor. If planning to inspect the inside of the brake control power supply, leave it as is for more than 24 hours (to discharge it) after removing it from the vehicle. Then, perform the inspection.
(c) Disconnect the connector.
18. REMOVE BRAKE CONTROL POWER SUPPLY ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 4 bolts, No. 1 control power supply bracket and No. 2 control power supply bracket.
NOTICE:
Do not drop the brake control power supply. If the brake control power supply has been dropped, replace the brake control power supply with a new one.
