Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview
Flow Of Diagnosis:
1. Verify customer complaint by getting a detailed description from customer. Road test and perform vehicle inspection i.e. speed sensor connections, fluid levels, leaks, fuses and brake hardware.
2. Check TSB's for updated test procedures, warranty information and recalls.
3. From the customer description and a road test, determine if there are vehicle symptoms. Refer to SYMPTOM CHART under DIAGNOSIS BY SYMPTOM for test procedures.
4. The ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC system will help if the symptoms in SYMPTOM CHART do not apply. Begin with ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC CODES (CODE EXTRACTION).
