Disassembly and Reassembly





Disassembly of Blower Unit





1. REMOVE AIR INLET SERVOMOTOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the screw and the cover.
(b) Disconnect the connector.
(c) Remove the three screws and remove the servo motor assembly.





2. REMOVE POWER TRANSISTOR
(a) Remove the screw and remove the power transistor.
(b) Remove the one screw and remove the plate.
(c) Disconnect the connector.





3. REMOVE EXTRA HIGH RELAY
(a) Remove the one screw and the extra high relay.
(b) Disconnect the connector.





4. REMOVE BLOWER RESISTOR
(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Remove the two screws and the blower resistor.

5. REMOVE EVAPORATOR





(a) Remove the A/C wire harness.
(b) Remove the eight screws and separate the upper case and the lower case.





(c) Pull out the evaporator sensor from the evaporator fins.
(d) Remove the two bolts using a hexagon wrench and separate the evaporator and expansion valve.

6. REMOVE BLOWER MOTOR





(a) Disconnect the shaft from the control lever.
(b) Remove the two screws and the blower lower case.





(c) Remove the three screws and the blower motor.

Assembly of Blower Unit





Assemble following the disassembly procedure in reverse order.

HINT:
- The tightening torque for the bolt used to install the expansion valve on the evaporator is shown below.

Specified torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)





- Connect the blower lower cover control lever and the shaft by turning the lever counterclockwise and pulling the shaft down.
