Canister Purge Control Valve: Testing and Inspection

Vacuum Control Valve (VCV) Inspection:

- Remove VCV.
- Apply 3 in.Hg or more vacuum to port S.
- Air should flow from port X to Y.

Vacuum Control Valve (VCV) Inspection:

- Remove vacuum from port S.
- Blow air into port X.
- Air should not flow through port Y.
- Replace VCV if desired results are not produced.
