Inspection Procedure

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1. Check voltage between terminals HTR, HTS, HTL of Engine Control Module connector and body ground.
- Remove glove compartment.
- Turn Ignition Switch ON.





- Measure voltage between terminals HTR, HTS, HTL of Engine Control Module connector and body ground.

Voltage: 9 - 14 volts

- If not OK proceed to step 2.
- If OK check and replace Engine Control Module.
2. Check resistance of Heated Oxygen Sensor Heater.
- Disconnect Heated Oxygen Sensor connector.





- Measure resistance between terminals 1 and 2 of Heated Oxygen Sensor connector.

Resistance: 11 - 16 ohms at 20°C (68°F).

- If OK Check and repair harness or connector between Main Relay and Heated Oxygen Sensor and Engine Control Module.
- If not OK replace Heated Oxygen Sensor.
