Diagnostic Procedure
DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE1. Check voltage Igniter power source
- If OK proceed to step 2.
- If not OK check and repair Igniter power source circuit.
2. Check voltage between terminals 2 to 7 of Igniter connector 12 and body ground.
- If not OK proceed to step 3.
- If OK proceed to step 4.
3. Check Ignition Coil.
- If OK check for open and short in harness and connector between Junction Box No. 1 and Ignition Coil, Ignition Coil and Igniter.
- If not OK replace Ignition Coil.
4. Check continuity between terminal 7 of Igniter and body ground.
- If OK proceed to step 5.
- If not OK repair or replace harness or connector.
5. Check voltage between terminal 8 of igniter connector I15 and body ground.
- If not OK proceed to step 6.
- If OK proceed to step 7.
6. Check for open and short in IGF circuit.
- If OK check and replace Engine Control Module.
- If not OK repair or replace harness or connector.
7. Check for open and short in IGT circuit.
- If OK proceed to step 8.
- If not OK repair or replace harness or connector.
8. Check voltage between terminals IGT 1 to 6 of Engine Control Module and body ground.
- If OK replace Igniter.
- If not OK check and replace Engine Control Module.
