Diagnostic Procedure

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE





NOTE: This diagnostic chart is based on the premise that the engine is cranked normally. If the engine is not cranked, proceed to DIAGNOSIS BY SYMPTOM.

1. Connect the LEXUS hand-held tester and check STA signal.
- If not OK proceed to step 2.
- If OK proceed to next circuit inspection shown at DIAGNOSIS BY SYMPTOM.
2. Check for open in harness and connector between Engine Control Module and starter relay.
- If OK check and replace Engine Control Module.
- If not OK repair or replace harness or connector.
