WARRANTY INFORMATION
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Remove Transaxle Assembly.
2. Thoroughly clean the affected bell housing bolt holes and guide pin boss area with a cleaner such as "Brake Kleen" or equivalent. Use compressed air to ensure all fluids are removed and surface is completely dry and clean.
3. Using a sealer such as Loctite "Weld Stik" (available at local parts supply stores), seal the M8 bolt hole and casting knock hole. Twist off desired amount of sealant and knead the sealer until uniform in color, not to exceed two minutes.
Recommended M8IKnock Hole Sealant:
Loctite "Weld Stik" (P/N - 14600-R)
4. Fill the M8 bolt hole cavity and knock hole with sealant. Firmly compress sealer into cavity. Once sealer is solidly compacted, quickly remove excess sealer from bell housing surface using a razor blade to prevent difficult removal after set-up (see Fig. 2).
5. Using one of the two sealants noted below, coat the M10 bolt threads and install (see Fig. 3).
6. Install Transaxle Assembly.
Recommended M10 Sealant:
Three Bond 1324 (P/N - TB1324)/Locktite Pipe Sealer 565-21
CURING TIME:
Allow sealants ONE HOUR to cure after installation prior to adding transmission fluid.
