INSPECTION OF PAD LINING THICKNESS (INSTALLED)

1. Remove rear wheel.

Checking Pad Thickness Through The Caliper Inspection Hole:

2. Check the pad thickness through the caliper inspection hole and replace pads if not within specifications, or if the pads have severe, uneven wear.

^ Standard thickness: 10.0 mm (0.394 inch)
^ Minimum thickness: 1.0 mm (0.039 inch)

INSPECTION OF PAD LINING THICKNESS (REMOVED)

Brake Pad Lining Thickness Measurement:

1. Using a ruler, measure the pad lining thickness.
^ Standard thickness: 10.0 mm (0.394 inch)
^ Minimum thickness: 1.0 mm (0.039 inch)
2. Replace the pad if the pad's thickness is at the minimum or less, or if the pad has severe, uneven wear.
